Happy New Year!!

Saturday, January 10, 2009

While it may seem that this blogospace is forgotten… well it really seems like it haha!  I’ve got no excuse besides work, and laziness (”,)  Too many new tv series kept me glued in my media player last year, sorry!

And since part of my New Year’s Resolution is to blog more often (and get into those damn Jap class), I am back, and let me greet everyone - A blessed new year 2009!!  Wee!  I’m freakin 25 now, old yes.  and I’m still so good at procrastinating. Jeez..

Will definitely take this hole for a major make over.. so watch out :)

Oh and BTW… yes I’ve recently just joined the vampire bandwagon – as I am most certainly in love with Edward Cullen.  Just the name makes me blush haha!

Ciao!

Month-end Cramming

Monday, June 30, 2008

Yes cramming has been my middle-name nowadays, I do it all the time even to my own blog…

Surprisingly busy this month has been.. every weekend was a cam-fest!  Somehow the Filipino community at work always comes up with activities (Pinas-related lagi) to keep us busy on weekends.  That and the birthdays we had to celebrate this month.  June 15th was Jun’s — we had spag-and-grill-turned-poker party at home.  Add June 3rd and 13th being Ate Mai’s and Tunz’s birthday..

The three of them threw a combined party just this Saturday in Endah villa, at Dice’s and Sir Poli’s apartment — it was a combined birthday and house-warming party.  Can’t even blog much how that went — I was crazily drunk with no sleep from work that Saturday morning prior.  We had to wake up early the next day (still in Endah villa) to catch Manny Pacquiao’s match with Diaz – it wasn’t a close fight so I had to give him credit after round 2, but that KO was a big surprise!  I thought with his build he could at least stand upto the last round haha!  ‘Nuf of that now..

And soo.. what else happened this month.. well there was the Jakarta visit — it was a 3-day, 4-night adventure.  Eight of us battled the wilderness of Indonesia’s capital — mostly of traffic jam (macet according to the cab drivers, spelling t/c of Sylvie).  Half of the time I felt like I’m in Manila, and the rest felt like a wilder, crowdier KL wth much much more active nightlife.  I like their food, the authentic batik (how I wish I have more money to buy lots of ‘em!) and thank God Sylvie saved our trip!  Thanks so much sis for the tour!  And btw, you speak their language very well that I kinda wanted to try Bahasa now.. hahaha!

Ooh and I liked the fact that when you go to Indonesia, your minimum budget for a 3-day tour could amount to as much as a million rupiah.  We were literally millionaires in Jakarta! wahaha!  But we had to be wary of spending their cash coz it was pretty confusing to use their money what with all that zeroes.  Their smallest tender is 1000 IDR, then the biggest is 100,000 (not sure if there is 500K).  A short ride in a cab could be as much as 20,000 IDR… really I had a hard time deciding when their ‘cheap’ is really cheap.

Last highlight was the Palarong Pambansa - we had this event last June 7th at the newly developed Cyberjaya Park.  After almost 4 years of adult-ish corporate wandering (read: WORK!), I had the chance to play patintero, football, agawang-base (moro-moro), chinese garter, and marami pang iba! Ang saya talaga! After the sportsfest, I had to endure a couple of days of bodyache but what the heck — it was worth it!  It felt nostalgic and weird at the same time… to play our native games in foreign land.. with foreigners watching us adults playing patintero.. hehe.

So basically that’s it,  it was a busy month.. another 4 weeks gone.  On to July, on to the 3rd quarter… i know it’ll be just as busy, so it’s gonna be another idle blog for the next few weeks.. sigh!

Limot Na

Saturday, May 31, 2008

Ordinary weekday. Breakfast [1:30pm].

Di naman nya nakita yun before ah.

B1: Oo andun yun, tanda mo pa nung unang encounter nila ni Itachi, nung ginamit nya yung black flame para makatakas sa loob ng tiyan nung higanteng palaka?

G1: Ahh.. dun ba yun..

… … … … Hahaha! Ikaw alam mo na ba?? Ano ba yan nakakahiya ako nakalimutan ko!!  Si Ero-sennin yun eh! … Orochimaru, Tsunade… Ero-sennin!

B1: Hahaha! Ero-sennin di pwede yun.  Ano na..

G1:  Alam mo na ba?  Wag mo muna sasabihin!  Kaya ko to teka

B1: Hinde hindi ko pa matandaan haha!

G1: Paunahan tayo makaisip!

Jiraiya-sama!!

Celcom vs. Maxis

Wednesday, May 14, 2008

After a year of enslavement in my currect job finally the company had provided my team with a postpaid Celcom sim pack.  Note that there is no phone included! haha!  Well it’s not so bad since I did not experience this priviledge in my previous job.  This sim got me excited actually — first postpaid sim! w00t! w00t!

OK so please bear with me and have your phonebooks updated - I am keeping this post published for the next couple of months so friends (and semi- / demi- friends) might stumble upon my new mobile number here in MY.

+60 19 2437645.  There.

I honestly still don’t know if I better shut off my good ol’ Hotlink sim or not.. I was advised by my boss about some extra charges if I want to avail the postpaid roaming services which is like super insane compared to Hotlink’s automatic roaming activation in wherever country I go.  Maybe if this Celcom one proves worthy then I will keep it.  If not then I’ll sure let you know.

Some trivia though about Hotlink rates below.  I hope Celcom could beat these.

  • 1SMS = RM 7sen                              approx. Php 90centavos

  • 1SMS (Active10) = RM 1sen               approx Php 13centavos

  • 1min call  = RM 35sen                       approx Php 4.55

  • 1min call (Active10) = RM 20sen         approx Php 2.60

  • 1min call to Philippines = RM 50sen    approx Php 6.50

Random Memory

Saturday, May 10, 2008

This evening while watching American Idol, I saw the top 4 spending some time with the dolphins.  They look really cute jumping in and out of the water.  It was fun just watching them do that.

Then I suddenly remembered a similar event when we went to Krabi last February.  While on a speedboat en route to Monkey Bay to snorkel, the Singaporeans who were seated at the front deck suddenly saw a group of dolphins jumping out of the water at the left side of the boat.  Manong driver immediately put the speedboat to a stop so we could have ample time to watch them pass by.  I wasn’t able to get a good snap though.. but that was a first for me to have a close encounter, making my trip to Thailand more memorable. :)

Wala lang I just remembered hehe.

BTW, Jason Castro was booted out tonight.  It was his time to go..  And he looked so happy haha!
