Sick Cycle
Monday, October 30, 2006October's almost over..
… yet we're still going around in circles. Round and round… in hazy circles… getting nowhere. Just as how a friend put it — it is a "chase of loose ends of tied up strings". This month is the peak of it. Months of chasing. I am trying to put an end to it. And I am hoping it will finally strike him that I mean to end it. Funny thing is, I am on a chase myself. Though I know it is not hopeless… It is something promising. Something worthwhile.

Highlights of the past fortnight were the throw-away dinner @ CPK for Aubrey, and the earthquake incident during the movies at Greenbelt. We were watching World Trade Center that very moment (perfect timing eh!) and Joane went frantic about joining half the crowd to the exit. Good thing her panic settled soon enough. We finished the movie anyway

Oh, and I got the call from my application abroad and apparently the offer did not meet my target. I thought I'll be out of the country by January but no. Guess I just hit ground zero again.
That's it. End of month again.
Friday the 13th
Friday, October 13, 2006Okay… I usually do not believe in this 'unlucky day' whatsoever, but today the most unfortunate thing happened to me and my friend (we have separate unlucky story - me here at office and she at her workplace in Ortigas…). — my harddrive crashed, and I was able to backup only a tenth of it. Me being able to post this very entry means our IT helpdesk gave me a temporary harddrive (they told me the replacement could take a week to arrive), and that I am almost 'back to zero' with regards to my files (huhu.. precious..)
Two years' worth of projects, office documents, chat archive, mp3s, pictures, manga chapters… all gone. I hope our ever helpful helpdesk could retrieve them for me *crossing fingers*.
This weekend will be spent on eating lots of ice cream for sure…
‘Milenyo’ aftermath
Friday, September 29, 2006I just called home and got the news that blackout still dominate our town since yesterday. Not to mention the flood… I cannot imagine the flood in our neighboorhood (last time I saw flood in our house was 11 years ago, during the super typhoon Rosing). I wonder what it is like when I reach home tomorrow.
But i'm glad it's all over and not one of my beloved ones are hurt
. At least I got a day worth of extra sleep while the wind outside is reaching 120kph… it doesn't happen often hehe.
I hope the whole of South Luzon and Metro Manila (esp Makati) recover as fast as it could. I hope.
