Irony
Wednesday, April 23, 2008How lovely is this song? This one’s my favorite from the OST of Juno. This flick kept my butt glued in the couch this afternoon. I did not expect that much from the movie before watching, but as the story progressed I just got hooked unconsciously! Her conviction to keep the baby alive - it moved me so much! I wish all teenage girls - no, i wish EVERYONE, young and old - could make a sound decision for themselves and learn how to make a stand for their own choices. *Milktate!*
Irony’s in the timing… but let’s not ruin the smallest drop of happiness in me.. Aylavetraytnow!
The monkey on you’re back is the latest trend
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
I kiss you on the brain in the shadow of a train
I kiss you all starry eyed, my body’s swinging from side to side
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
Here is the church and here is the steeple
We sure are cute for two ugly people
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
The pebbles forgive me, the trees forgive me
So why can’t, you forgive me?
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
I will find my nitch in your car
With my mp3 DVD rumple-packed guitar
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
Up up down down left right left right B A start
Just because we use cheats doesn’t mean we’re not smart
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
You are always trying to keep it real
I’m in love with how you feel
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
We both have shiny happy fits of rage
You want more fans, I want more stage
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
Don Quixote was a steel driving man
My name is Adam I’m your biggest fan
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
Squinched up your face and did a dance
You shook a little turd out of the bottom of your pants
I don’t see what anyone can see in anyone else
But you
Withdrawal Symptoms
Monday, April 21, 2008
One would probably wonder what is that one thing that when taken away from you will make you post a demi-rant like this one. What was it that was taken from me, leaving me without choice..?
Inevitable withdrawal. Meant to happen in due time. Marami actually.
But this time, it is my notebook. My Pavilion addiction.
Haha! Yes of course it’s not that big a deal… But for an expat who only finds her solace in that black and silver, 15inch, 2.5kg sophistication for almost a year now (I bought it 22-Apr last year), it’s like taking away her life in the world of wide web hehe.
I decided to hand over my notebook last week to the HP service center since it is still on warranty, and really, my battery would be better off replaced. So here I am using my work-notebook at home — which is not that bad either. It’s just that I’m not used to utilizing this one for personal antics. The company had put too much restraint in the OS that I can’t even watch videos in Youtube for the lack of proper Flash version. No I can’t watch .AVIs in the only video player available (read: WMP) for the lack of codecs. I have the installer alright, but I cannot install it in any way possible (well unless I have the administrator logon). So there. I miss my Pavilion!
I think my notebook will be away from me for the whole week, worst-case scenario. It they would call tomorrow to tell me it’s ready for pick-up by Wednesday, then good enough.
For the meantime I will keep myself busy on other pressing matters in my room.. I have a couple of books to finish. Some fresh magazines still unopened! I have lots to fix in here… Lots of updates to do. Lotsa stuff to re-arrange, throw away, clean, you get the picture.
Fortunately my messenger apps work normally here… So if you catch me online i’m quite free for a chat (",)
UPDATE:
HP service desk engineer called me this afternoon (few hours after original post) and confirmed that my notebook is ready for pick-up tomorrow. They replaced the motherboard and battery thank goodness! I went to their service center last Friday.. so their promise of 3-working days was on-sched.. great job guys!
